April has registered abundant rainfalls and the vines absorbed a good reserve of water for the very hot and dry summer months, until the first decade of September, which had a scarse amount of rain. Great vintage with a harvesting time allowing us to pick up the grapes at the best maturation peak.
Grapes of this vintage had an excellent sugar content, quantity of polyphens and aroma. Red wines of this vintage, after a refining in wood barrels, are promising excellent structure and aromas in the glass. Worthwhile for red wines enthusiast to keep some bottles for a few years.

Thermal Summation: this value, expressed in Celsius degrees, shows the sum of differences between average dayly temperature and the so called “vine’s zero of vegetation”, which is equivalent to 12° for the vines. The values reported into the column “Thermal Summation”, show the thermal sum from the beginning of the year up to the relevant week of that same year; these values show the performance of seasonal temperatures.
WHAT: This graphic shows the data related to rainfalls, daytime and nighttime temperatures registered for every single vintage within the production area Montello and Asolo hills. (official statistics data provided by “C.e.c.a.t Institute”)
HOW: These data have been registered in the period between the third April’s week and the first September’s week, which is the most active and intense period of physiological activity for the vines, starting from the initial growth until the final maturation of the fruits right before harvesting, which usually takes place in the month of September and/or October, depending from the grape variety.
HORIZONTAL AXIS: shows the values registered during the 14 mentioned weeks of the year
VERTICAL AXIS: shows the values related to temperatures and rainfalls, as reported in the legend
